What is DELAC? What does D.E.L.A.C. stand for?

DELAC stands for District English Learner Advisory Committee. The purpose of DELAC is to advise the district's local governing board on programs and services for English learners.

DELAC Board

The DELAC board is composed of parents or guardians of English Learners not employed by the district.  It is a fantastic was to become involved in your child's education at a district level.  Each month parents, teachers, district leaders, and community members attend DELAC meetings.  Parents of English Learners participate in meetings about English Learner (EL) services which include how EL money is used, their classification process, and setting educational and career goals.  Childcare may be provided for meetings.

How do I know when the meetings are?

Committee meetings are held at the Ballard Center in Old Town.
